What is the Knowt AP Hub?
If you’re not sure how to tackle your AP test prep throughout the year, the Knowt AP Hub is perfect for you. The best part about our AP Hub is the resources are free and created by actual AP students like you who’ve taken the class. So, you are guaranteed to find intuitive AP study notes that are easy to understand and cover the topics that will actually show up on the AP exam
Can I make my own AP study guides on Knowt?
If you want to personalize your AP study guides, no worries! Use the AP study guides we’ve selected as a starting point, make a copy and add in any specific pointers your teacher may have mentioned. You can think of our AP test study guides as a starting point and add on as much as you want to customize it.
How do I use the AP resources to get a 5?
We’ve got you covered with lots of AP resources to help you with your AP test prep, but it can be overwhelming to figure out exactly where to start. For each exam, start with the Ultimate AP exam study guides, which offers a summary of every single thing covered in the course. Once you figure out what you struggle with most, head over the specific unit study guide and flashcards to practice that topic more.  Click through out AP test study guides to learn more about them.

What is the “Ultimate” AP Study Guide?
To make your life easier, we also compiled one Ultimate AP Study Guide for every AP exam that has literally every single thing you need to know to get a 5 on that AP exam. 
Where can I find the AP Flashcards?
Most of the AP exams are very vocab heavy, so it’s extremely important that your spend time getting to know the most important terms. Click on any subject and you’ll find a Ultimate set of flashcards for that AP exam along with flashcard sets for each unit. We have multiple AP flashcard decks for each AP exam that include important events, key players, structures, etc.

Since there’s typically a lot of vocabulary, the best way to make the most out of these AP flashcards is to start early and use our spaced repetition mode to study them!
How do I practice for my AP Exams?
When you’re done studying from the AP study guides and flashcards, it’s time to put your knowledge to the test. We leverage the power of AI to create unlimited AP practice tests until you completely master the material. The best way to prepare for the AP exam is to keep practicing using our AP practice tests, correcting your mistakes, reviewing the topics you get wrong using our AP study guides and repeat!
Who writes the Knowt AP Study Guides?
All the AP exam study guides and AP flashcards in the Knowt AP Hub were written by real, actual AP students like YOU! That’s how you know you can actually trust them.
What is the Digital AP Exam?
Starting May 2023, the CollegeBoard is offering seven select AP exams in the digital format. The exams available as of May 2023 will be AP Computer Science Principles, AP English Language, AP English Literature, AP European History, AP Seminar, AP US History and AP World History. The digital version of the exam will be on the exact same day as the paper exam and will also be the exact same content. To see if you’re allowed to take the digital version, reach out to your school because they are allowed to choose whether they offer only the digital exam, only the paper exam or both.
How are AP exams scored?
AP exams are scored on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest score. The College Board uses a standardized scoring process that involves trained graders that evaluate student responses. The exact scoring criteria and rubrics are provided for each exam and can be found on the College Board's website.
How long is each AP Exam?
Most AP exams are two to three hours long. The exact duration varies depending on the subject. Some exams may also include a break in the middle.
Can I take an AP exam without taking the AP course?
Yes, you can take an AP exam as a "non-enrolled" student! This option allows students to self-study for an AP exam without taking the formal AP course at their school. When you’re signing up make sure to check off the “non-enrolled” student. We have lots of free AP study guides and AP resources you can use to help with your AP test prep.
What will I find for each exam in the Knowt AP Hub?
Each AP exam page in the Knowt AP Hub will include an ultimate study guide and an ultimate flashcards set that cover every single thing on the exam. You will also find AP study guides and AP flashcards broken down by unit, along with some of our favorite youtube channels for each AP exams. On top of all these free AP resources, we also have a Discord community filled with tons of AP students taking each AP exam that you can lean on for support and questions leading up to the exam!
What are AP Classes?
The Advanced Placement program is a set of high school courses created by the college board that allows students to complete college level work in their high school setting. Advanced Placement exams are often used by students to get an advantage in college admissions by showing their rigorous work ethic. AP exams allow students who perform well to potentially earn college credit to skip basic classes in college.
How much do AP Exams cost?
Although registering for and completing AP classes are free, the exams cost $94 per exam. However, if you require financial assistance, we would recommend checking with your guidance counselor to see if there are any programs to help you reduce the cost.
